Great weld quality. Installation was 30 minutes (I was lucky the shock towers hadn’t moved around); just the right amount of adaptability with the slotted mounting holes.

Comment on 64-73 Mustang MOD 1 Panhard Rod & Sway Bar Kit by Brett Busch https://mikemaierinc.com/products/64-73-mustang/rear-suspension/64-73-mustang-mod-1-panhard-rod-sway-bar-kit/#comment-3305 Fri, 05 Apr 2024 06:05:51 +0000 http://mikemaierinc.com/?post_type=product&p=783#comment-3305 Very well made, easy enough to install, sway bar slick design. Initially purchased just to increase my side to side tire clearance for 295/40/18s. Pleasantly surprised to find rearend tracks much more predictable, without all the leaf spring recoil. Where I used to “send it” at 40mph , I’m now crossed up at 50 or more.
Only downside is I had to remove my exhaust from the mufflers back.

Comment on 64-73 Mustang MOD 1 Rear Suspension Kit by Grant Folstad https://mikemaierinc.com/products/64-73-mustang/rear-suspension/64-73-mustang-mod-1-rear-suspension-kit/#comment-2122 Wed, 05 Jul 2023 17:37:32 +0000 http://mikemaierinc.com/?post_type=product&p=784#comment-2122 I installed this on my 1968 Mustang to replace the old stock leaf springs. At the same time, I also installed Mike’s subframe connectors and the X brace. The installation was smooth, I reached out to Mike Maier Inc a time or two with questions and they were very helpful with answering my questions. I use my car mainly for cruising with an occasional burnout or two. The car handles much nicer now, and it just squats and goes under hard acceleration. I installed a 2.5″ dual exhaust after I put the above-mentioned parts in. The X brace and Panhard bracket make installing the exhaust a little more challenging, but it was my first custom exhaust fab and I was able to make it all fit well. I’m very happy with the results and these parts are built very well. Thank you!

The car feels great at highway speeds and very comfortable in parking lots. Im very happy with the system and highly recommend it.

Installation wasn’t too bad, definitely harder to find a welder than the actual prep and installation. If you are tired of a sloppy old rear end like me, tighten it up with this kit!

Comment on 64-70 Mustang MOD High Offset Shock Tower Brace by charleyj.sawyer https://mikemaierinc.com/products/64-73-mustang/chassis/64-70-mustang-mod-high-offset-shock-tower-brace/#comment-1147 Wed, 16 Mar 2022 18:01:08 +0000 http://mikemaierinc.com/?post_type=product&p=1613#comment-1147 So the picture of the 8 stack setup in the product description with Mike’s brace is from my car, and I should have left a review sooner! Mike and his team were amazing at helping to develop this variation of the already great tower brace for my application as the 8 stack setup would have conflicted with the standard brace. The build quality is off the charts with this brace, and the fact that it has slotted holes for the towers for accommodating the inherent variation of these old cars is another example of attention to detail of Mike’s products. I was happy to get rid of the two piece shock tower export brace to replace it with this one piece version. Thanks again Mike!

Dropped right in, and having the slotted mounting holes ensures a perfect fit. Definitely happy with my purchase. When you buy from the best, you get the best. Some say that your appeal to the opposite sex increases by 83% when you install this brace… 😉 Seriously though, the design makes sense, and you can feel it. Load starts at the top of the shock tower, so everything being tied directly to it is the best approach.
