We first met Craig a number of years ago when he came by the shop to check things out. As we walked out to his 1963.5 Ford Falcon Futura and started checking things out this quiet guy as we found out was not so quiet in his actions. Through scouring the internet he had come across all sorts of neat ideas that could help him and his little Ford Falcon. He was super proud of all sorts of little things; wiring intricacies, breathers and idler pulleys just to name a couple. As time moved along Craig kept tinkering on his Ford Falcon. Bigger tires, custom brakes, new leaf springs that were almost immediately customized. In trying to write a customer car outline it’s normally pretty easy. However since Craig is a constantly upgrading and improving things I think a revision number for this time period would be more appropriate. So this rev is going to be Rev. 12,762.

Craig has been driving the Ford Falcon around town, to Ultimate Street Car Association events, GoodGuys autocrosses, and local events. Outfitted with a later model larger modified fuel tank and a Holley carb on top of a stockish 302 with a T5 transmission this thing gets about 24mpg on the highway.

Since Craig has joined up with MMI he has been a major part of the suspension development. This has inspired even more development on the suspension. The rear suspension is now a MOD 2 Setup with Double Adjustable JRi Shocks.

The front suspension is a Ford Falcon MOD 1 system along with double adjustable JRI front shocks . The lower control arms are the MMI fully adjustable MMI MOD 1 arms. He also had Mike Maier build him a custom 6 point street cage. As time went on Craig continued to clean up the interior and eventually stripped the car down for paint. He made a homemade paint booth in his garage and stripped the whole thing. He prepped the Ford Falcon and ended up having a friend spay it.

We can go on and on with this car. The bottom line is Craig is a machine. The constant work is an inspiration for all of us to keep digging on our projects. With time and sweat equity we can come up with some pretty cool stuff. And for most of us we would be happy to get about half as far as Craig has. Hats off to Craig for building such a cool Ford Falcon.

Mike and Brandon DeFazio’s Pro-touring 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback setup with MMI suspension. This car is a beautiful show quality representation of a 69 Mustang.

Mike and his son Brandon came to Mike Maier years ago wanting to build a nice 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback to hit up the local autocrosses with. As the concept was taking shape the Dafazio’s decided on the rocker arm suspension that Mike Maier was known for. During the build Mike Maier created his own company in Livermore, Ca (Mike Maier Inc). Mike and his son followed Maier to complete the build.

The front  of his Ford Mustang Fastback was outfitted with a MOD 1 coil over system coupled with MMI’s power steering package. The Defazio’s had Mike Maier install a street style 6 point cage with a removable seat belt bar. The car left Mike’s hands and went into the Dafazio’s garage for the rest of its build. Mike Dafazio would occasionally stop by Mike’s shop and say “ I think it will be nicer than we were planning on”. This went on for some time and out came this piece of work; Easily one of the nicest projects that we have been involved with. We are proud to be part of their journey, great job guys!

Kenny is one of the local bad asses of long island though he will never admit to it. He’ll just greet you with a smile and an honest hand shake. Kenny and Mike met in Columbus, Ohio during the 2010 Good Guys Sponsor Shootout. Since then, Kenny has been a dear friend of the Maier family. His 65 Mustang Coupe is an early version of what we now call the Corkscrew Package and includes one of the first MOD 1 Front Suspension systems we produced. Funny enough, Mike Maier and Kyle Tucker of Detroit Speed welded up the arms together during a visit from Tucker. As a result you’ll find both of their initials stamped on the control arms of this particular kit.

Ken is not shy about using his Mustang, regularly tracking and autocrossing his car at events around the country.
